In Kaluga, 50% of the marking of pedestrian crossings was made with scrap. This was announced on Monday, April 26 during a planning meeting in the city government.
“Last year, the organization that applied plastic road markings failed to fulfill our technical task. We recorded defects in about 50% of pedestrian crossings and 20% of center lines,” the city government said.
As a result, the contractor received claims. At a meeting with representatives of the organization, an action plan was outlined to restore this plastic road markings.
“This year we will not spend a single additional ruble on plastic marking,” the city government stressed.
The restoration work has already begun. It is planned to complete the markings in the city center by May 9th. After the festive events, the contractor will go about his work in other parts of the city.
