Oleg Antosenko, chairman of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Committee, died at the age of 62. This was announced on Friday, April 23, by the speaker of the Moscow City Duma Alexei Shaposhnikov.
Expressing condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, the parliamentarian noted that Antosenko “earned the sincere respect of his colleagues and associates with his high business and human qualities,” TASS reports.
The speaker noted that for many years Antosenko had successfully headed Mosgosstroynadzor, put all his energy and efforts into solving issues related to urban planning policy and construction in the capital.
According to Interfax, citing a source familiar with the situation, Antosenko died from complications associated with the severe course of COVID-19. The official was on vacation outside the city.
Antosenko has headed Mosgosstroynadzor since February 2014.
