On May 8, the International Action “Garden of Memory” will take place in the forest fund of Tatarstan. It is planned to plant 350 thousand seedlings in memory of the feat of 350 thousand Tatarstanians – participants of the Great Patriotic War, who died at the front, reports IA “Tatar-inform” information of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov.
The planting of trees will be carried out by representatives of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, executive committees, organizations and enterprises of municipal districts, youth public associations, students of educational institutions, volunteers. It is assumed that in the course of the international action “Garden of Memory” 1 million seedlings will be planted.
In 2020, Tatarstan joined the international action “Garden of Memory” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, on April 25. In total, 483 thousand seedlings were planted in the republic in the year of the coronavirus pandemic in memory of the feat of the Tatarstan people.
