By 2024, it is planned to bring about 44% of all roads in the Pskov region to a standard state. As MK in Pskov was told in the press service of the administration of the Pskov region, Governor of the region Mikhail Vedernikov said this during a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrei Kostyuk.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of transport infrastructure in the region and drew attention to the existing problems and achievements.

Mikhail Vedernikov recalled that thanks to Moscow, the region receives tangible support within the framework of the national project “Safe and High-Quality Highways”. According to the head of the region, if in 2018 a little more than 25% of roads corresponded to the established burrows, then in the past 2020 their number increased to 34%. It is not planned to stop at what has been achieved, according to Mikhail Vedernikov. By 2024, it is planned to reach the figure of 44%.

It should be reminded that this year the repair of several important road facilities will start in the Pskov region. One of them will be the renovation of Oktyabrsky Avenue in the city of Pskov. The work is scheduled to begin in March.
