On Sakhalin, they began to implement a project to digitize road defects – they are put on a special map with a description of the location. At first, this was done only in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, but now several more districts in the south of the island will be connected.
In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk alone, over three weeks of the project’s work, 2,500 road defects were found, with a total area of 22,000 square meters. In the island capital, patchwork has already begun.
In other regions, this work has also been carried out since the beginning of April. The repair of roads in the south of the island should be completed by June 1, the regional government said.
Defects will be fixed on the map in Anivsky, Dolinsky, Korsakovsky, Nevelsky and Kholmsky districts. To do this, you must submit an application on the Sakhalin.Online portal. And on the interactive map you can see what the islanders were complaining about. It looks like this:
