Three accidents involving 19 cars occurred on the highway in the Aurgazinsky district of Bashkiria. This was reported to reporters in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic on Tuesday, February 23.
“Today at 14:55 Moscow time, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Republic of Bashkortostan received a message that three accidents involving 19 vehicles, including two trucks, occurred on the 79th km of the P-240 Ufa-Orenburg federal highway,” – noted in the department.
One person was injured in the road accident. He was sent to the Tolbazin central regional hospital.
In the message of the public “Sterlitamak at the wheel” in the social network “VKontakte” it is specified that more than 30 cars collided on this highway near the village of Tolbazy due to ice and snowstorms.
12 pieces of equipment and 26 people were involved in work on the scene, including three pieces of equipment and eight people from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. No fuel filling.
Temporary accommodation points are ready. The Aurgazinsky district administration organized hot meals on the spot.
In the republican traffic police department, it was clarified that the collisions of cars occurred within one kilometer. The cars received mechanical damage. More than 10 people are examined by doctors. The police and other services work on the spot.
“The traffic accidents occurred in conditions of ice and severe snowstorms,” the State Traffic Inspectorate reports on its Facebook page.
Earlier on Tuesday, the media, citing a source, reported that several accidents involving 13 vehicles occurred simultaneously on the 130th km of the inner ring of the Ring Road in the Kronstadt district of St. Petersburg. There were no dead or injured.
Due to accidents, two of the three lanes were blocked, traffic on a section of about 1 km was hampered.
