Since the beginning of the year, 144 accidents have occurred in the Pskov region, after which the drivers fled from the scene of the accident. This was reported to “MK in Pskov” in the press service of the Russian MIA Administration for the Pskov region.
Also, over the past three months in Pskov, there have been three accidents involving city buses and cars. In all cases, the car drivers smashed the left side mirrors.
Residents of Pskov and the region are reminded that if the driver leaves the scene of an accident, he may face deprivation of a driver’s license for a period of one to one and a half years or an administrative arrest of up to 15 days (Article 12.27, Part 2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).
The statistics of court decisions is such that the most frequent punishment for abandoning an accident is deprivation of rights.
