At present, 314 infectious beds have been deployed on the basis of medical organizations in the region, of which 167 are for the treatment of adult patients and 147 for children. How will medical institutions cope in the event of an epidemic of influenza and coronavirus? The head of the health department reported this at a meeting in the regional administration.
During the period of an epidemic rise in the incidence of ARVI, influenza and new coronavirus infection, the number of infectious beds can be increased to 1135, of which 50% will be provided for the child population.
Now medical organizations in the region are provided with 141 ventilators, 743 pulse oximeters, 494 units of ambulance vehicles, personal respiratory protection – the need is provided for 12 weeks. Available – disinfectants and medicines for the urgent elimination of the developed disorders of the functions of vital organs and systems. In addition, there is an apparatus for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation at the Clinical Hospital No. 1.
In 2020, it is planned to vaccinate against influenza 436 thousand Smolyans (48% of the population). An application has been sent to the Ministry of Health for an additional 108 thousand doses of influenza vaccine for residents of the region. At the expense of the regional budget, an additional 3000 doses of vaccine will be purchased. Immunization against influenza will be carried out on the basis of 36 health care institutions, as well as by 305 mobile vaccination teams.
