LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that if he participated in the presidential elections in Ukraine, he could win. On this topic he spoke on Tuesday, January 19.
“Sure. Both Russians and Ukrainians would vote for me, ”Zhirinovsky said on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel, answering a corresponding question.
He stressed that everyone is tired of watching how the country and its economy are dying.
“The whole world has queued up for the vaccine, both ours and others. And only in Ukraine there is no vaccine. It’s funny, Russia is nearby, they are offered – take it, even for free, but no, ”the politician noted.
Zhirinovsky also assessed the situation with the Russian language in Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian government is banning its use, “trying to forcefully force Russians to speak Ukrainian.”
On January 5, it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in the event of holding elections of the head of state in the near future, would be supported by only 26.2% of the country’s residents.
In December, the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation conducted a sociological survey and found that Zelensky was considered the loser of 2020 by almost 30% of Ukrainians.
