Young wrestlers from Kalmykia became prize-winners of the Russian championship

Two wrestlers from Kalmykia – Aldar Sandzhiev and Mingiyan Goryaev – won gold and silver medals at the Russian championship in Greco-Roman wrestling among youths under 16.

As reported on the website of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian championship in Greco-Roman wrestling among youths under 16 was held in Ufa in memory of the honored coach of the USSR Vladimir Borman. More than 400 athletes from 65 Russian subjects competed for medals in 15 weight categories.

Kalmykia was represented by pupils of the republican sports school of the Olympic reserve named after Tula Baldashinov. In the weight category up to 48 kilograms, Aldar Sandjiev won the first place, Mingiyan Goryaev became the second in the weight category up to 57 kilograms.
