A general warning for travel to nearly 160 countries outside the EU and the Schengen border-free zone will end on 30 September. From October 1, according to the decision of the Federal Cabinet of Ministers, the decision on travel warnings will be made individually, taking into account the epidemiological situation in each specific country. – dpa reports citing government circles.
Countries or regions are declared risk zones if the number of infected people in the last 7 days exceeds the border of 50 cases per 100,000 people. A list of countries to which travel is not currently recommended can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or on the website of the Robert Koch Institute.
The list is constantly updated. At the moment, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Israel are considered countries at risk. If a person entering Germany has been in one of the countries on the list within 14 days before returning, he must go through a two-week quarantine. You can reduce the quarantine period by receiving a negative test result. The test can be made no earlier than on the 5th day after entering the country.
