A resident of Kazakhstani Alma-Ata, who earlier on Saturday, April 24, opened fire at the Bukhar Zhyrau residential complex, and then barricaded himself in one of the apartments, fell out of the window during the assault by special forces. It is reported by “Sputnik Kazakhstan”.
According to the newspaper, during a special operation in the apartment where the man locked himself, there was a shootout, followed by a clap. After that, the attacker fell out of the window of the apartment located on the 17th floor. Doctors have already arrived at the scene. It is unknown if the man survived.
Earlier on the same day, it was reported that a man in the course of a conflict with a housing security guard wounded him, presumably with a gun. After that, he locked himself in one of the apartments of the complex and began to shoot back from the law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene.
It was noted that the injured security guard was hospitalized.
Eyewitnesses to the incident reported that the attacker threatened to blow up the house. He hung a poster with a certain message from the window of the apartment in which he locked himself.
The special operation to arrest the man lasted for eight hours. Before the storming of the building, all its residents were evacuated. As reported by the publication with reference to the city police, the attacker refused to enter into dialogue with law enforcement officers.
