American airlines were allowed to fly in the flight information region (FIR) of Simferopol (UKFV). The United States Civil Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a permit.
The department came to the conclusion that the danger for flights of civilian liners in the Black Sea area has decreased, so airlines can resume traffic on these routes.
The document allowing flights from October 27 this year will be officially published on October 16. The notice is now posted for review on the US Federal Register website.
The FAA explained that the lifting of the ban, which has been in effect for several years, does not mean the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia.
