The collision of two aircraft ATR-72 and Yak-40 took place at the airport of Surgut in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. This was reported on April 2 on the website of the Ural Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The incident occurred the day before at 22:45 (20:45 Moscow time) at the airport in the city of Surgut.
“During the maintenance of the aircraft, the ATR-72 aircraft, which was with its engines running, had a spontaneous movement. As a result, a Yak-40 aircraft was run over, which was parked “, – reported in the department.
According to the investigators who carried out the inspection, at the time of the collision of the aircraft, there were no passengers or crew on board, and there were no casualties.
During the inspection, an inspection of the accident site, the adjacent territory and aircraft was carried out, airport workers, representatives of airlines were interviewed, and technical documentation was seized. Based on the results of the inspection, a procedural decision will be made.
On March 13, an An-26 plane crash was reported near the Almaty airport. The plane crash killed four people, two more survived and were hospitalized. The aircraft belonged to the aviation service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
