In the Sverdlovsk region, two people died as a result of a grenade explosion in an apartment of a residential building. This was reported by IA “Ura.ru” with reference to a source in power circles.

The incident took place on Saturday, April 24, in Novouralsk in one of the apartments of a residential building at the intersection of Pervomayskaya and Sadovaya streets. The gas service went to the place of the emergency, but no traces of the gas explosion were found. The bodies of two victims, a 39-year-old man and a 19-year-old girl, were found in the apartment. The data was passed on to the police and the FSB.

In the apartment, experts found a fuse from a grenade, windows and doors were knocked out, the walls were cut by shrapnel.

The main version of what happened is the explosion of a grenade. Meanwhile, a source of the agency in the investigation department of Novouralsk noted that other versions of the incident are being considered. Presumably, both victims drank alcohol during the incident, the website 360tv.ru notes.

As the site kp.ru writes with reference to eyewitnesses, the man brought the grenade to the apartment himself: allegedly, he got it from his grandfather.

At the end of March, the Moscow prosecutor’s office organized an investigation into the fact that minors were injured due to the explosion of a toy airsoft grenade.
