Two people died and 11 people received various injuries due to a fire in a nursing home in the village of Zemianske Kostolyany in Slovakia. On Saturday, August 8, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Slovak police.

“On Saturday morning, a fire broke out in a nursing home in the village of Zemianske-Kostolyany, Prievidza district. The doctors and firefighters who arrived on call found two people without signs of life. Another 11 people were injured and injured of varying complexity, some of them were taken to hospitals, the rest were examined by doctors on the spot. The investigator of the Prievidza district has started to investigate the causes of the fire, ”said a police spokesman.

It is noted that 48 patients were evacuated due to the incident.

On April 8, a fire broke out in a nursing home in the Kuntsevo district of Moscow. As a result, 16 people were hospitalized, four died. The fire occurred on the basement floor of a private boarding house.

Rospotrebnadzor conducted a check in the boarding house, during which it revealed violations.

Investigators qualified the death of four people as manslaughter. The Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow opened a criminal case on the fact of the fire, and later another one under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of two or more persons.”
