Two people died in a fire at the Vechny Zov hotel in southeastern Moscow. On Tuesday, May 4, REN TV reports.
According to the TV channel, 12 more people were injured, they were hospitalized. Eight of them are minors. At the same time, one of the adults is in serious condition, another one receives outpatient medical care.
Earlier on the same day, it became known that the investigators initiated a case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person). The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that a man died as a result of the fire.
The Moscow Prosecutor’s Office reported that they are monitoring the investigation of the criminal case. According to preliminary data, at the time of the fire, the fire protection systems were out of order.
The fire in the capital’s hotel became known earlier on the same day. The fire took place on 6th Kozhukhovskaya Street, there was strong smoke in the building. The fire was classified as a second, higher difficulty grade.
According to rescuers, the area of the fire was 100 square meters. m, the fire covered the first floor and partly the corridor. The fire was extinguished.
