Former US President Donald Trump believes he liked Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated this on April 20 in an interview with Fox News.

“I got along well with President Putin, I liked him and he liked me,” he said, adding that “this is good, not bad.”

Trump also spoke in an interview for improving Russian-American relations.

“The US should do business with Russia instead of pushing it towards closer cooperation with China,” he said.

Earlier, during his presidency, Trump was accused of “collusion” with Russia. Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has been investigating for two years on the basis of allegations of “Russian interference” in the 2016 elections, which led to Trump becoming president, but in the end he found no evidence of the politician’s connection with Russia.

Last year, Trump said that reports that appeared in the American media, in particular in The New York Times and The Washington Post, that Russia allegedly interfered in the next presidential elections in the States to help the incumbent head of state were a “disinformation campaign.” …

Moscow has repeatedly rejected baseless and unsubstantiated accusations, calling them part of the internal political struggle in the United States.
