In Ussuriisk, the police evacuated the residents of the house where the fire started, and localized the fire on their own before the arrival of the firefighters, according to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Primorsky Territory on Friday, January 22.

DPS inspectors Maxim Borodin and Sergey Fedorin, while patrolling, noticed thick black smoke coming from the entrance of a two-story residential building. They called the firefighters, entered the entrance and found a fire under the stairs of the first floor.

Militiamen began to call and knock on the apartments to get all the residents out, and after that they began to extinguish the fire with snow. With improvised means, they managed to localize the fire before the arrival of the fire service.

“Thanks to the timely, competent and professional actions of the traffic police inspectors, tragic consequences were avoided: none of the residents of the house was hurt,” it was reported.

Traffic police officers will be awarded.

On January 21, it was reported that in the Uvat district of the Tyumen region, traffic police officers rescued dozens of drivers and passengers who got into trouble in the cold on the Tyumen-Khanty-Mansiysk highway.
