The vice-governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Ruppel, said that the full-scale holiday season in the region will begin a month earlier than usual – on May 1. According to him, this is facilitated by a stable epidemiological situation, compliance and effectiveness of the measures taken.
He stressed that the effectiveness of the anti-epidemiological measures taken was confirmed in the winter, when more than 2 million tourists visited the region and there was no surge in the incidence.
To date, according to Ruppel, a stable situation with regard to coronavirus remains in the Krasnodar Territory, and the number of detected cases of the disease per day does not exceed 100 people.
Resorts in the region offer different options for recreation in all price segments, the vice-governor added. Hotels of the 4 and 5 stars categories are in particular demand. Over the past three years, the number of hotels in the latter category has grown by 30% and at the moment there are about 40 of them in the Krasnodar Territory, Ruppel specified.
“Several new accommodation facilities will open in the 2021 season as well. Moreover, there are hoteliers who are actively adopting the experience of foreign colleagues in terms of improving service and building their policy based on long-term, long-term relationships with their guests, ”the official said.
To diversify the rest of tourists and attract new travelers to the region, as Ruppel emphasized, work is underway to diversify the resort product. For example, in Gelendzhik, it is planned to open a new attraction for children and adults, where you can plunge into the atmosphere of Ancient Rome, Easter week will take place in Sochi Park, and lavender fields will be visited in Semigorye in May.
On April 8, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, recommended that Russians rest in their country so as not to be quarantined abroad. She also added that domestic tourism in Russia is actively developing and the authorities are striving to provide citizens with a comfortable stay at an affordable price.
On March 18, the country launched the third stage of the tourist cashback program. Sales of tours and accommodation with cashback will last until June 15. In this case, you can go on a trip until June 30 inclusive. The traveler, according to the rules of the program, will be refunded up to 20% of the cost of the trip, but not more than 20 thousand rubles. You can go to any region of the country.
During the first week of the program, according to the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova, Russians purchased vouchers with cashback for holidays in the country for more than 2.5 billion rubles.
