The Council of Ministers of Cyprus adopted on Friday, April 23, a decision to tighten quarantine due to the situation with coronavirus infection. This was reported by the Cyprus Press and Information Bureau, the Cyprus Mail reports.
From April 26 to May 9, the curfew will be in effect from 21:00 to 05:00.
Also, meetings are prohibited, the work of catering establishments and retail stores, except for grocery stores, is suspended.
Over the past day, 927 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Cyprus.
Earlier, on April 6, it was decided to extend the strict quarantine due to the workload of intensive care units in hospitals in the three eastern regions of Austria – the federal states of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland – with patients with coronavirus, RT reports.
At the same time, earlier on Friday, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin via videoconference that the rate of decline in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia has practically stopped.
According to her, the situation remains stable, but it may worsen.
