Three earthquakes in a few hours occurred off the coast of Kamchatka on Friday, April 23. This is stated on the website of the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Seismologists have recorded earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.9, 4.0 and 4.5, writes RT. Tremors were recorded in the area of the Kronotsky and Kamchatka bays, writes the Zvezda TV channel. The epicenter of an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 was located 143 km from the village of Milkovo at a depth of 71 km. Another epicenter of tremors was located near the village of Ust-Kamchatsk, the website 360tv.ru writes.
According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no damage to infrastructure and no casualties, writes REGNUM. Local residents did not feel the seismic event.
On April 22, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded near the Kuril Islands in the Pacific Ocean. On the same day, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 occurred near Novosibirsk.
