Three children and an adult died in a fire in a residential building in Novosibirsk. This was announced on Tuesday, December 29, at the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
“During the analysis of the burned structures, four people were found without signs of life, presumably, three of them are children,” the message says.
As explained in the department, the open burning was eliminated at 10:17 (06:17 Moscow time). The area of the fire was 100 sq. m.
Putting out the fire was complicated by the high temperature, smoke and a large layer of snow on the roof of the house. The fire has been assigned an increased difficulty grade. The extinguishing was carried out by 27 people and 8 pieces of equipment.
Representatives of the operational group of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Novosibirsk region, the acting deputy head of the Main Directorate for the State Fire Service, Colonel of the Internal Service, Alexei Kvetkov, firefighters, doctors and police are working on site. The relatives of the victims are supported by psychologists, according to the official website of the Ministry of Emergencies.
Earlier on Tuesday, it became known that the solid waste landfill caught fire near Vladivostok. It was reported that the fire broke out on December 26, it was liquidated, but strong gusts of wind again fanned the fire.
