The Russian government has submitted to the State Duma a bill on compensation for foreign citizens permanently residing in Russia and stateless persons who have suffered as a result of an emergency on the territory of the country. The document provides for amendments to the law “On protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies”, specified on the website 360tv.ru.
They want to extend the operation of the law to foreigners and give them the right to compensation for damage caused to health and property as a result of emergencies. The bill also provides for other measures.
The explanatory note emphasizes that the implementation of the initiative will “contribute to the achievement of the goals of the state program of the Russian Federation” Protection of the population and territories from emergencies, ensuring fire safety and safety of people at water bodies. “
Earlier, a project on the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies was approved by the government. Earlier on the same day, it was reported that a group of deputies would submit to the State Duma a bill to exempt non-working pensioners from paying personal income tax (PIT) on income from bank deposits. It is proposed to amend the Tax Code of Russia.
