A few days ago, at the plenary session in the first reading, a bill was adopted to return the Volgograd region to the same time zone as Moscow time.
The bill proposes to exclude the Volgograd region from the third time zone and refer it to the second – Moscow time, UTC + 3. Mikhail Struk spoke to the parliamentarians as a representative of the region. In his presentation, he stressed the important economic and social importance for local residents of the transfer to the metropolitan time zone.
The draft law was adopted by a majority of votes, 317 deputies voted for it, one against and four abstained.
Earlier, the transition of the Volgograd region to the MSC time zone was also approved by the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.
