People’s Artist of Russia, trainer Mikhail Bagdasarov did not have serious health problems. This was told by his son Arthur in a commentary to the site 360tv.ru on May 4.

According to him, a week before his death, Bagdasarov was hospitalized with bronchitis. However, the artist’s son does not know anything about COVID-19, which was allegedly discovered by his father.

“He was not sick, he had nothing. An absolutely healthy person. There was no such thing that he was sick for a long time, or something else. Just recently we were on tour in Kislovodsk, he came, and we opened a star in front of the circus, ”said Bagdasarov Jr.

The death of Bagdasarov became known on May 4, he was 75 years old. The press service of the Russian State Circus said that the artist died from the effects of coronavirus infection.

People’s Artist of Russia Askold Zapashny called the death of the trainer a great loss for the circus.

Bagdasarov – People’s Artist of Russia, worked with lions, tigers, panthers, leopards. From the age of 18 he worked under the guidance of the world’s first tiger trainer Margarita Nazarova; he staged his own number “Funny Donkeys” in 1973.

In 1991 he first presented his attraction “Tigers Show”, in which 18 Ussuri tigers participated, and gained wide popularity.

In 1997 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Russia. His children Arthur and Karina are also famous tiger tamers.
