The second night rehearsal of the Victory Parade took place on Red Square

The second night rehearsal of the Victory Day parade with the participation of parade crews and columns of military equipment took place on the evening of Tuesday, May 4, on Red Square.

The rehearsal, which began at 22:00, was attended by more than 13 thousand military personnel and more than 130 units of modern weapons and military equipment.

Armored vehicles “Tiger”, protected vehicles “Typhoon”, infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3, airborne combat vehicles BMD-4M, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, BTR-MDM, T-72B3 tanks drove along the paving stones of the main square of the country. In addition, the third generation T-14 Armata tanks, the Terminator BMPT tank support combat vehicles, the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system launchers, and the Yars missile systems took part in the rehearsal.

Also on display were Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, Buk-M2 and Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems, Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon systems and many other pieces of equipment. In addition, Aurus convertibles were also shown in the front line.

For the first time this year, the parade crew of the cadet corps of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation named after V.I. Alexander Nevsky, a division of female military personnel of the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense named after V.I. Marshal of the Soviet Union G. Zhukov and the battalion of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation named after V. Kikotya.

This rehearsal was the second. The first night rehearsal of the parade in honor of the 76th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was held on Red Square on April 29. The dress rehearsal on Red Square will take place on the morning of May 7.

On April 27, on Red Square, a foot training was held with the crews of combat vehicles, which will take part in the Victory Parade on May 9. The rehearsals were attended by the commanders and driver-mechanics of all combat vehicles.

The day before, a dress rehearsal of the air part of the Victory Parade took place over Alabino.

On May 9, more than 12.5 thousand people will take part in the parade in honor of the 76th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, 190 models of equipment will march across Red Square, 76 aircraft and helicopters will be involved.
