In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the season of stocking of fish bodies with commercial fish has begun. After such events, local residents will be provided with fresh fish, which will go on store shelves this fall.
According to the regional Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Protection, 27 fish-breeding enterprises are currently operating in the region. Three of them have already started stocking.
In particular, writes IA NewsNN, the Zarya fish farm in the Dal’nekonstantinovsky district released 5 tons of carp, and the Odin fish farm in the Semyonovsky district – 1.6 tons of carp, 200 kg of silver carp and 200 kg of grass carp. The Polderevsky fish farm in the Vyksa region released 40 tons of two-year-old carp from wintering ponds. The enterprise plans to launch 12 tons of carp and 4 tons of grass carp and silver carp into water bodies.
As the agency specifies, the state support program “Development of commercial aquaculture” has been approved in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Program participants receive support for 1 kg of commercial fish sold. Thanks to this, in particular, the fish farm “Polderevskoy” has managed to increase production volumes by almost 105 tons since 2016.
This year, the authorities will allocate about 18 million rubles to support the fishery enterprises in the region. This will make it possible to produce 766 tons of fish products by the end of 2022.
