The British Foreign Office’s statement on “exposing the malicious cyber activities of the Russian special services” is an attempt to play along with the United States. This was announced at the Russian Embassy after the Russian Ambassador Andrei Kelin was summoned to the Foreign Office. Prior to this, Washington and London said that the Russian foreign intelligence service was responsible for the SolarWinds cyberattacks.
As noted by Russian diplomats, representatives of the West have once again failed in ensuring cybersecurity and, out of habit, blamed the Russian Federation.
“At the same time, London is once again using unfounded accusations” with arguments in the “highley like” style, without at all bothering to present any serious, not to mention impressive, texture in this regard, “the message says.
At the same time, the diplomatic mission reminded British colleagues of repeated proposals to discuss cybersecurity issues, which would serve the interests of both countries and the entire international community.
