The Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro, President Milo Djukanovic, is ahead of the opposition coalition “For the Future of Montenegro” by a small margin in the parliamentary elections held in the country last Sunday. This is evidenced by data from the Country Monitoring and Research Center.
According to preliminary data, the coalition “Resolutely for Montenegro”, which is led by the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists with 34.8% of the vote, wins the elections.
In second place is the opposition coalition “For the Future of Montenegro” with 32.7% of the votes.
The liberal and pro-European coalition “Peace is Our Nation” won the support of 12.5% of the vote, the URA party – 5.7%.
According to the State Election Commission of Montenegro, the electoral turnout was 75.9%. The final results will appear in the coming days.
