After the resignation of the ex-mentor of FC Krasnodar, his place was taken by former CSKA coach Viktor Goncharenko. The contract with him was signed by the end of June 2023.
Goncharenko’s experience is almost 15 years – he has been working as a coach since 2007. For six years, he led the Belarusian club “BATE” to victory in the national championship. In addition, Goncharenko’s wards became three-time Super Cup winners of the country, and in 2008 they advanced to the group stage of the Champions League. Under the leadership of the new coach of Bulls, BATE twice drew with Juventus Turin.
“Krasnodar” will not be the first experience for Goncharenko in the south – in 2013 Victor worked for a year in “Kuban”, after which he left for “Ural”, then “Ufa”, and later – to CSKA. In 2018, the army team under the leadership of Goncharenko won the country’s Super Cup. Prior to that, we twice reached second place in the RPL tournament ranking.
Recall that the former coach of the “black and green” Murad Musaev retired after 6 in a row of defeat of the team. Then “Bulls” lost to “Akhmat” with a crushing score of 0: 5. For 8 games, starting in January, “Krasnodar” won only once – against the outsider of the table “Tambov”.
