The Ministry of Labor and the Pension Fund of Russia do not plan to check the income of pensioners, said on November 28, members of the Public Council of the Ministry of Labor interviewed by TASS.
According to the rector of the Russian State Social University, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia, a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Labor of Russia Natalya Pochinok, pensions and additional income are not related.
“The pension is assigned depending on the earned pension rights during the period of work,” she said. Pension rights checks are carried out when assigning a pension. If an employee has a low pension, then he is entitled to a special, regional or federal supplement.
“This is the usual day-to-day work of the Pension Fund, no additional checks are provided. When assigning pensions, any additional income was not and will not be taken into account, except for those related to old-age pensions, ”she said.
As Pochinok added, she discussed this issue both with the Ministry of Labor and the Pension Fund of Russia, no one introduces checks.
Earlier on Sunday, the first deputy head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Andrei Isaev, noted that the Pension Fund does not plan to conduct any checks on pensioners for additional income.
On the same day, Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation “Development of Human Capital” of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said that in 2021, Russian pensioners will be tested.
According to her, the Accounts Chamber found many violations both in the direction of illegal overpayments and underpayment of pensions.
She said that a more thorough check of the correctness of pension payments will be carried out, because, on the one hand, citizens may receive less of a part of pension payments, and on the other hand, the Pension Fund’s expenses are increasing, which cannot always be reimbursed.
