The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova said that information appears on Internet resources that does not correspond to reality about what is happening at unauthorized protests.
In addition, she stated that the operational-situational headquarters, created because of the presidential elections in Belarus, has no information that law enforcement officers were injured during the actions in the Belarusian capital.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus began a meeting of the operational headquarters because of the protests in Minsk. They analyze the situation there. An official statement will follow shortly.
Prior to that, on Sunday, presidential elections were held in Belarus. According to official figures, the current president, Alexander Lukashenko, will win. Nevertheless, supporters of the main rival of the Belarusian leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya called for a protest action in case of her defeat.
