The highway leading from Chelyabinsk to Ufa will be expanded to four lanes after reconstruction. By the end of the year, a four-lane section will be put into operation in the Chebarkul region.
The repair of the highway was discussed at the meeting of the Governor Alexey Teksler with the head of the Uprdor “Southern Ural” Federal State Institution Sergei Boyko. The road began to be reconstructed from the border with Bashkiria in the direction of Chelyabinsk.
According to plans, in a few years the section of the federal highway, which runs through the territory of the Ashinsky region, will be expanded to four lanes. They will also introduce a new road bypassing the city of Sim.
In addition, the Chelyabinsk – Yekaterinburg two-lane highway will be expanded in the next few years. The work has already begun, this year the road workers exceeded the plan and put into operation 12 km of the road instead of the 8 promised.
According to the website of the First Regional, Rosavtodor and the authorities of the Chelyabinsk Region have approved a plan for the reconstruction of all federal highways that pass through the region until 2028. All highways, including M-5 Ural, will have five lanes.
On September 18, it was announced that the repair of the Chelyabinsk – Kharlushi – border of the Argayashsky district was completed, which was carried out within the framework of the national project “Safe and high-quality highways”.
