The Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko instructed to develop a separate program for the overhaul of housing for the Kholmsk region. This issue was discussed during a meeting of the regional government, IA SAkhalinMedia reports with reference to the press service of the regional authorities.
As the governor noted, for several years in Kholmsk, no major repairs of housing have been carried out. The local authorities returned the allocated money back, because they could not master it and organize the work.
“It is necessary to correct this and start repairs. People should live in comfortable conditions, ”said Limarenko.
The development of the overhaul program for the Kholmsky District should be completed next week. According to the head of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the region, Natalia Kuprina, by this time specialists should compile a list of houses in need of repair and determine in which buildings the work will take place in the first place.
Earlier it was reported that in Alexandrovsk-Sakhalinsky in October 2021 they plan to complete a large-scale reconstruction of the water supply system. Thus, the authorities intend to solve the long-term problem of poor water in the city.
