In his address to the people on August 5, Batu Khasikov announced a positive test for a new coronavirus infection. As noted by his press service, he is being treated in the Elista infectious diseases hospital №1.
And today good news came: the head of the republic was discharged from the hospital.
According to the attending physician – infectious disease specialist Zoya Sanji-Gariaeva, Khasikov passed two tests using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, which showed a negative result.
The head of the region noted that he tolerates the disease easily, fortunately, immunity allows. This was also confirmed by doctors.
The chief epidemiologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Oksana Kurdyukova, said: the patient is no longer dangerous and does not pose a threat to others. He needs time to complete the course of treatment and restore the body, which can be done at home.
