Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin congratulated employees and veterans of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on their professional holiday – the Day of the Diplomatic Worker, and named the main priorities of the department. The statement was published on Wednesday, February 10, on the government website.
“The key priority of the ministry’s activities remains the deepening of integration within the Eurasian Economic Union, the implementation of the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to form a large Eurasian partnership,” the message says.
In addition, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation called the protection of the Russian language and the rights of compatriots, the popularization of the achievements of national culture as the key areas in the activities of the department.
“The focus of attention should continue to be ensuring the rights and interests of compatriots abroad, protecting the Russian language, popularizing the achievements of national culture, developing international humanitarian, scientific and sports exchanges,” the message says.
The importance of strengthening Russia’s position in the world economy, attracting foreign investment, actively supporting large projects of Russian companies and promoting the national interests of the Russian Federation in the international arena was also noted.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Foreign Ministry staff on the Day of the Diplomatic Worker. In his congratulations, he noted the importance of building up efforts to ensure conditions for strategic stability and security.
