Rescuers extinguished a fire that broke out on the roof of an empty building of a locomotive repair plant in Michurinsk, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tambov region reported.
A fire broke out on the roof of the Milorem plant, which was decommissioned in 2015. The fire covered 500 sq. m.
At 22:34 (Moscow time) the fire was extinguished, no one was killed or injured as a result of the incident, RIA Novosti writes on Thursday, April 15.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that investigators opened a criminal case after the collapse of the roof and part of the wall of the control room building on the territory of a thermal power plant in the Tambov region.
As a result of the incident, two people were injured, more than half of the residents of Tambov were left without heating and hot water.
