More than 400 women work in the central office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry alone, who occupy not only rank-and-file positions, but also leading positions. This was reported on March 8 in the press service of the department.
So, in the rescue military units, the number of women is about 5% of the total number of military personnel, and in the fire and rescue units – no more than 1%. In addition, there are women among rescuers, divers and pilots, chemists, lawyers, and accountants.
The most demanded profession among the fair sex is a dispatcher. Their task is to respond to signals of an incident. Also in demand is the specialty of a psychologist, who often travels to the scene of an emergency to provide psychological assistance to victims and their relatives.
Among the female specialties in the department there are also such as employees of the press services of territorial central administrations, photographers, museum workers. Often, girls get a job in departmental laboratories, where they are engaged, in particular, in the examination of fires.
It is noted that in 2020, 32 women were awarded state awards, including 21 who were awarded certificates of honor and gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation.
