Foods containing probiotics and prebiotics can increase the immune response and prepare the body for vaccinations, including those against COVID-19. This was announced on Thursday, February 18, by the doctor of functional and anti-aging medicine Yulia Yusipova.
Most probiotics and prebiotics are found in dairy products, she said. In addition, substances are found in cereals, bread, corn, beans, onions, peas, garlic, artichokes, asparagus, and bananas.
Yusipova noted that fermented milk products “restore the normal microflora of organs, and also rid the human body of harmful pathogenic bacteria”, the website kp.ru reports.
In mid-January, the scientific director of the Federal Research Center for Nutrition and Biotechnology Viktor Tutelyan named products that can stimulate the production of specific antibodies. He noted that protein-rich foods are beneficial before COVID-19 vaccination. According to him, after vaccination, fat-soluble vitamins should be included in the diet.
