Fish, eggs, and certain vegetables help support brain function. This was announced on March 21 by nutritionist, announcer of medical sciences Mikhail Ginzburg.

He noted that fish is the most beneficial for the brain.

“There are a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, which are needed to build nerve cell membranes. Fish is better than sea fat, such as mackerel and salmon, ”the expert explained to the Zvezda TV channel.

Eggs are also useful, he said, since the yolks contain a lot of phospholipids, which are necessary for building cell membranes.

Also useful for the head are vegetables of bright colors: carrots, pumpkin, tomatoes, bell peppers. They contain beta-carotene and carotenoids – they have a pronounced antioxidant effect, the doctor emphasized.

“The fourth product is oranges and citrus fruits, as they contain quercitin, a powerful anti-inflammatory agent that protects blood vessels and brain cells from damage,” the expert added.

Seasonings also have a positive effect on the brain. Turmeric, garlic, and pepper help protect brain cells from premature aging, Ginsburg concluded.

Earlier, on March 9, experts named the signs of vitamin B12 deficiency. These include feeling very tired, palpitations, headaches, loss of appetite, pain in the mouth and tongue, and shortness of breath on light exertion.
