The Leninsky District Court of the city of Stavropol arrested the driver of a passenger car, who, according to preliminary data, could have provoked an accident that occurred on April 30 in the Stavropol Territory, as a result of which five children died. This was announced on May 2 by the judge during the hearing.
“The Leninsky District Court of the city of Stavropol ruled to satisfy the investigator’s petition <...> to choose a preventive measure for a period of two months, that is, until June 30, 2021,” TASS reports.
The accident happened on April 30 in the Grachevsky district of the Stavropol region.
The preliminary cause of the accident in the traffic police of Russia was called a violation of traffic rules by the driver of a passenger car. A criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident.
As a result of the accident, five children were killed and nine people were hospitalized.
According to the decision of the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, seven victims of the road accident were taken to Moscow, they will be provided with medical assistance by specialists from the Burdenko National Medical Research Center of Neurosurgery, as well as the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.
