The Petrozavodsk City Court acquitted the acting head of the Rospotrebnadzor department in Karelia Lyudmila Kotovich and the former head of the regional department Anatoly Kovalenko as part of the re-examination of the case on the deaths of children in the summer of 2016 on Lake Syamozero.

“Kovalenko Anatoly to be found innocent on the charges brought against him. Kotovich Lyudmila Mikhailovna to be found innocent on the charges against the lack of corpus delicti in the act,” said the judge Marina Nosova.

At the same time, the former head of the Rospotrebnadzor of Karelia Anatoly Kovalenko and the acting head of the department Lyudmila Kotovich were found not guilty.
