In Russia, in February 2021, 28,272 Lada passenger and light commercial vehicles were sold, which is 13.1% more than in the same month of 2020. This was reported on March 2 by the press service of AvtoVAZ.
The best-selling car in the last winter month of 2021 was Lada Granta. Residents of the country bought 9,790 of these machines. The second place is taken by Lada Vesta, which sold 8 745 cars. The third place is taken by Lada Largus with a result of 6 428 cars.
In 2020, AvtoVAZ sold 393,806 vehicles in the Russian and foreign markets, which is 5.2% less than in 2019.
The market share of the Lada brand in Russia is 21.5%. At the same time, Lada Granta and Lada Vesta remain the best-selling models in the Russian market.
On February 25, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had suspended production of Lada cars in Kazakhstan. We are talking about the “Asia Auto” plant, which the local authorities imposed a penalty of 30.8 billion rubles for failure to fulfill industrial assembly obligations.
