This figure turned out to be 74% more compared to the result for the same period in 2020, when the profit reached $ 5.99 billion.

It is specified that the company’s net profit amounted to $ 438 million, while a year ago this figure was equal to $ 16 million.

Tesla also delivered about 184,000 Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles in January-March.

The more expensive Model S and Model X cars were not produced during this period. The delivery of over 2 thousand pieces was carried out from the stocks available in the warehouses, writes Gazeta.ru.

In addition, this year the company intends to increase the supply of cars by more than 50% compared to last year.

At the end of January, it was reported that Tesla was planning to launch a new Roadster sports car in 2022. At the same time, in the summer, the company will approve the design of the future car, and the full design work of the model will be completed at the end of this year.
