Today, on August 12, a drunk driver raid will take place in Karelia, the press service of the Republican State Traffic Inspectorate reported. All over the region, drivers will be subject to massive sobriety tests.

Anyone who has witnessed drunk driving can call the police number 102 or 112 and prevent a possible accident. The message must include the make, color and license plate of the car, direction of movement and other information so that the violator can be found as soon as possible.

Over the past weekend alone, two violations by drunk drivers were suppressed during extensive checks. In total, over the weekend, night and Monday morning, traffic police stopped 36 traffic violations by drunk drivers.
