Speaker of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran injured in an accident at a nuclear facility

An official representative of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behruz Kamalwandi, was injured while visiting the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan nuclear facility in Natanz, where an accident occurred on Sunday, April 11. This was reported by the IRIB news agency.

According to him, the official injured his head and broke his ankle when falling from a seven-meter height. Kamalwandi was taken to Ayatollah Yatribi Hospital in Kashan and is under medical supervision. It is noted that he feels good.

Earlier on Sunday, it became known that an accident in the power distribution network occurred at the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan nuclear facility in the Iranian city of Natanz in the central province of Isfahan.

As a result of the incident, as noted by the authorities, no one was injured. No environmental pollution occurred.

Later, the Israeli television and radio company Kan, citing “intelligence sources”, reported that the Israeli special service “Mossad” was allegedly behind the incident at the Natanz facility.

Iranian Vice President Ali Akbar Salehi called the accident at the Natanz nuclear facility a terrorist act. The incident is currently being investigated.
