Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger called this year’s Oscars too boring. He noted that he watched only a third of the ceremony, and then turned it off.
“I couldn’t watch it anymore because there was so much talent on stage, but it was too boring,” he said in an interview on YouTube channel Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Show host Jimmy Kimmel asked the actor how to make the event better. Schwarzenegger jokingly suggested holding the ceremony at Muscle Beach, where yoga performances, circus performers and gymnasts are staged.
The Oscars this year broke the anti-record of unpopularity on TV. The broadcast was watched only by 9.8 million people, the previous anti-record set last year was 23.6 million people.
