Saudi final verdict for Khashoggi murder “far from meeting expectations”

Turkey said the final verdict of a Riyadh court on Monday overturning death sentences for the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul was “far from meeting the expectations” of the international community.

“The final verdict that a Saudi court issued today on the execution of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul falls short of meeting the expectations of Turkey and the international community,” wrote on Twitter Fahrettin Altun, spokesperson for the Turkish presidency.
