The Military Space Forces (VKS) of Russia on Wednesday, May 5, intend to fly the parade formation of aviation over Red Square, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“The aviation training will be attended by 23 helicopters and 53 aircraft of the Aerospace Forces, a total of 76 units of aviation equipment. All flights will be performed at altitudes from 180 to 550 meters and at speeds from 200 to 550 kilometers per hour, ”the message says.

The press service of the department also indicated that the 2021 parade will be held especially, namely, with a new element in the form of a flight of the Tu-160 strategic missile carrier with long-range aviation, accompanied by a link of the Su-35 aircraft of the Aviation Technology Show Center.

Another innovation of the parade will be the opening of the air part of the event with three heavy Mi-26 transport helicopters, followed by the crews of the Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters, the Mi-35, Ka-52 attack helicopters and the Berkuts aerobatic team with the Mi-28N attack helicopters, writes “RIA News”.

Also, strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS, Il-78 tanker aircraft, Il-76 military transport aircraft, Su-34, Su-24M bombers and other types of aviation equipment will be involved in the parade formation.

The training flight will be completed by the crews of the MiG-37K and Su-57 aircraft and three groups of aircraft from the “tactical wing” of the Lipetsk Aviation Center, the “Cuban Diamond” with aerobatic teams “Russian Knights” on the Su-30SM and “Swifts” on the MiG-29, and six attack aircraft During the parade, the Su-25 will color the sky with the colors of the Russian flag.

More than 12 thousand military personnel, as well as 190 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment will take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square.

Earlier on May 4, the second night rehearsal of the Victory Parade took place on Red Square with the participation of parade crews and columns of military equipment.
